I graduated in 1981 from Boston College School of Nursing. My intention for attending Nursing School was always founded on helping people stay healthy and even when sick, return to Wellness. My favorite rotations in school were Primary Care Nursing (prevention through education and Screenings) and the Operating room. After graduation, I felt compelled to become a well rounded Nurse so I worked on Medical Surgical floors, Cardio-Vascular Units, and ICU. I now felt ready to work in an Operating Room Setting and have been happily working in the OR since 1988.

In 1994, I was a victim of 4 car accidents that progressively made it difficult for me to work in the OR and had to take some time off to heal. It was evident after trying many traditional medicines and therapies that I had to do something else to fully heal. In reflection, It was the beginning of a Happy Journey to Incorporate Holistic Therapies in my life as well as that of family, friends and anyone else that wanted to learn. I became consumed with reading, taking workshops and certification courses and practicing every modality that came to me. Through Reiki treatments, Massage, Aromatherapy, Yoga, Meditation, Chiropractic Care and finding a creative way to teach Dance (Kripalu Danskinetics: Now called Yoga Dance)), I became strong and empowered in Self and took charge of my healing. I was no longer a victim but a powerful Human Being who had the powers within to heal. That neck and back pain is still there but it is rare that anyone would notice as it no longer consumes me. In more recent years, the Law of Attraction and Quantum Physics (The Powerful Bond between our thoughts/ Mind and Body and the Chemistry /Biology of their interactions) is intriguing me still.  I cannot read quickly enough on this subject. It was at this time that I started to think of a way to incorporate this knowledge and find a way to share with others in a more formal setting. The Operating room is great but I knew that I wanted to share all my new found Wisdom with others.

I became a Kripalu Danskinetics Instructor(Yoga Dance) at Shakti Yoga and Belly Danskinetics(The Yoga of belly Dance) was birthed through suggestions from my students as they enjoyed the powerful movements from Belly Dance that I incorporated in my classes. Around the same time, one of the Surgeons in the OR was adding laser hair removal to her practice and asked me to be her laser Nurse.  Coming from a child hood where I was made fun of  for having a moustache, it was easy to say yes as the trauma of  that experience never really leaves you; However  through helping others the trauma is transformed and the pain heals.
 I trained with the Epi-light Intense Pulsed light system and became proficient in hair removal for all skin types especially dark skin.  In reflection, A divine intervention once again.  This Divine Source did not stop as I met a wonderful Arbonne Consultant who introduced me to Arbonne’s amazing Beauty & Wellness products and a business opportunity unlike any other.  A few years later, I also trained on the Diode laser and was the sole laser Nurse in a Plastic Surgery office. With focused intention and a few cross roads, Everything just came together and Rema’ Beauty and Wellness was birthed in 2004  offering Laser Hair Removal and Photo facials,(In 2008,  11 years of experience), Reiki Energy Healing treatment, Dance as a Healing Art(The Yoga of Belly Dance) and Arbonne's Pure, Safe, Beneficial Beauty & Wellness products. Studio 269, once a thought, manifested in 2008 and is a beautiful Studio to teach Dance and offer other Modalities for Wellness to the community.(See link for schedule under Wellness).  I have come full circle  Traditional Medicine Meets Holistic Therapies for a complete System of  Healing/Wellness.

In 2009, We are facing challenges in our economy and In our Environment. Let us all envision an Abundant Economy and see all of us participating in Healing Our Universe. In the words of Stephen Covey "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective people"
